Xiaomi is expected to release POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max, highly anticipated mobile phones for 2026, known for offering high performance at a more affordable price compared to top-tier models. Details about the devices, such as processor, battery, cameras, and potential prices, were disclosed by the WinFuture portal.
Xiaomi continues to prioritize exceptional battery life, along with using new MediaTek processors and large high-refresh-rate screens if the information is accurate.
Poco X8 Pro Max equipped with Dimensity 9500s chipset and 8,500 mAh battery?
The top-of-the-line model in the series appears to be the POCO X8 Pro Max, featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor with octa-core capabilities reaching speeds up to 3.73 GHz, signaling a significant emphasis on performance for gaming and demanding activities.

The POCO X8 Traditional Pro is expected to stick to its original brand concept by providing high performance at a lower cost. It should utilize the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, which boasts powerful cores reaching up to 3.4 GHz.
The battery capacity of the POCO X8 Pro is expected to be 6,500 mAh, while the POCO X8 Pro Max could have an impressive 8,500 mAh.
Despite its large battery capacity, the most powerful version can maintain a thinner profile at approximately 8.2 mm compared to the base model’s 8.38 mm thickness. The weight also falls within the typical range for smartphones with such battery sizes.
The two gadgets need to be compatible with rapid 100W charging using HyperCharge technology, enabling quick battery replenishment. They will also offer reverse charging capabilities of up to 27W, enabling the use of the mobile device to charge accessories like headphones, watches, or even other smartphones.
What other outcomes can we anticipate?
Some previous leaks have provided insight into the specifications of the X8 Pro. It is expected to feature 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, along with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution similar to the Max model and a 120 Hz refresh rate for smooth navigation and gaming.
The two cameras in the set take similar routes but have different sensors. The X8 Pro features the popular Sony IMX882 sensor with 50 MP, optical stabilization, and an f/1.59 aperture. Both phones also have an 8 MP ultrawide lens for wider-angle photos. They share a 20 MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

POCO X8 Pro Max is equipped with a 50 MP Omnivision Light Fusion 600 primary sensor that features optical image stabilization and an f/1.50 aperture, enhancing low-light photography by capturing more light.
The X8 Pro Max is expected to come with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, making it a highly advanced device in the premium mid-range category. It will also run on HyperOS 3, which is based on Android 16.
The phone’s front side features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1280 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, providing smooth navigation and an excellent viewing experience for videos and games. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, and the fingerprint sensor is embedded within the display.
Both devices need to have a metal structure and be certified with IP66 and IP68 for dust and water protection in terms of construction. For connectivity, they should support Wi-Fi 7E, NFC for contactless payments, a digital reader under the screen, and the most up-to-date mobile networks.
What should be the price?
Leaks suggest that the POCO X8 Pro is expected to be priced competitively in Europe, starting at 399 euros, approximately equivalent to R $ 2,500 without considering taxes and other variations. The higher-end model, POCO X8 Pro Max, could be priced at around 529 euros, roughly R $ 3,200. Confirmation of these details is awaited from Xiaomi’s official announcement.
