The Galaxy S25 FE is updated early and becomes eligible for beta testing for the first time before One UI 8.5.

Samsung has started rolling out the March 2026 update for the Galaxy S25 FE, suggesting a potential introduction of One UI 8.5 Beta to Fan Edition models for the first time.

This update serves a pivotal function unlike other security updates, laying the groundwork for upcoming developments, particularly for individuals interested in joining the beta program for Samsung’s new interface.

The company is currently conducting internal tests of One UI 8.5 on the Galaxy S25 FE, and the beta version may be released shortly.

What differences are there in this March update?

The update includes enhancements for system preparation, as well as fixes for more than 60 Android security vulnerabilities and Samsung’s own settings. It also features system optimizations to enhance daily performance.

Cleaning temporary and unnecessary files can free up space and improve the device’s performance.

The update has started rolling out in countries like South Korea and Turkey, and is expected to be available in other markets shortly.

Updating instructions

If you own a Galaxy S25 FE, you can verify if the update is currently accessible for your phone by following these instructions.

  1. Open the settings on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on Software Update.
  3. Choose to download and install.

If the update is not visible, it is recommended to wait a few more days because Samsung typically rolls out the updates gradually by region.

Samsung can now include the Fan Edition models in the One UI beta program, expanding the testing beyond just the top-of-the-line models like the Galaxy S series.

Samsung has not yet officially announced the release of One UI 8.5 Beta for the S25 FE, but internal tests are currently underway, suggesting that the announcement could come soon.

If you own a Galaxy S25 FE and wish to try out One UI 8.5 prior to its official launch, you must update your device with the March security update.
